Circular Letter No. 7/2004
On 1 July 2004 the deadline concerning bids for the European Championships 2006 expired. We have received the following offers:
- European Individual Championship Aydin – Kusadasi/Turkey
- European Individual Women’s Championship Aydin – Kusadasi/Turkey
- European Youth Championship - Budva/Serbia & Montenegro
- European Club Cup - Tampere/Finland, Fuegen/Austria, Budva/Serbia & Montenegro, San Xenxo/Spain
- European Club Cup for Women - Tampere/Finland, Fuegen/Austria, Budva/Serbia & Montenegro, San Xenxo/Spain
- European Youth Team Championship - Balatonlelle/Hungary
- European Senior Team Championship - Dresden/Germany
- European Individual and Team Championships for Cadets and Juniors (Rapid and Blitz) - Budva/Serbia & Montenegro
Furthermore a bid for the European Amateur Championship 2005 in Petroviv na moru has been made by the Chess Federation of Serbia & Montenegro.
The ECU Board will take the decisions about the venues at the next meeting in Chisinau/Moldova from 12 to 15 August 2004.
